The O’Hara Elementary School PTO in 2024-25 for the first time is sponsoring an after school O’Hara Garden Club. They now have six new raised beds in their interior courtyard, and they plan to meet weekly from mid-March until the end of school. They hope to plant flowers and vegetables and see some results before summer vacation. Additionally they will explore the science of gardening by testing the soil, keeping journals and making posters. Our FCGC has supported them by providing funding for compost, gloves, garden tools and a solar watering system.
